WHAT IS A MALA?
Traditionally used in mediation to count mantras or intentions, mala beads are an ancient tool developed to keep the mind focused and clear from thoughts. It is a string of counting beads plus one guru bead. The knot between each bead makes it easier to manipulate the mala during meditation.
The benefits of using malas include: increased focus during meditation, an efficient tool to count mantras and make contact with the inherent healing powers of the beads used.
HOW DO CRYSTALS BENEFIT ME?
Crystals have been utilised since centuries as tools for healing.
They help us access what we already have within and around us also known as Universal Source Energy.
Each crystal vibrates differently therefore working on different energies. Choosing the right crystal to go with your intention is important. Clear quartz for example intensifies all intentions. WHAT IS A MANTRA?
A mantra is a word, sound or sentence or meaning to you. It can be any language, a prayer, an affirmation a healing sound vibration anything that feels right to you.
Although i have been initiated to TM meditation years ago and benefited a lot from this practice, with time my views on mantras have changed. I do not believe that your mantra needs to be a mystical unknown secret word given by a guru.
I believe its subjective whatever works for you. however if you are interested in sound therapy and wish to use it in your mantra work then i suggest research into that field to make sure you receive the correct vibration.
WHEN A MALA BREAKS
According to tradition when a mala breaks it is seen as the completion of a cycle, or as the mala has served its purpose.
As my malas are crystal not only do i see it as and ending and a new beginning but that the crystal you once needed as well as the area you have been working on in your life have changed.
